Own Your Own Popcorn Business

     The retail gourmet popcorn business is a popular opportunity for new entrepreneurs. Unlike many established franchises or other business opportunities, there are many markets that do not have a single gourmet popcorn store. The start-up costs are reasonable, the space requirements minimal, the product is unique, and the operation of a gourmet popcorn store is not rocket science.

     There are several business models that can fit into many demographic and community areas. For example, gourmet popcorn is great for a tourist destination. This model features ready-to-eat popcorn sold in bags primarily to walk-in traffic. A more complex model involves a store that presents gourmet popcorn in products such as gift baskets for all occasions, tins, and for corporate accounts. Yet another model would involve selling popcorn as a wholesale product to discount chains and food markets. Business opportunities are only limited by the imagination.

Our consultation package includes working in our store and learning the “ins and outs” of the popcorn business. Participants train on our equipment and learn to make all of the flavors we offer and how to package the popcorn for sale. A recipe book and a list of suppliers are included. We will help in selecting proper equipment and provide a wealth of information on the important issues of starting a new popcorn business. The usual stay for our training is 3-4 days.
